The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress in 1996. HIPPA was designed to protect the privacy of health information. The Center for Change and Conflict Resolution (CCCR) is a covered entity under HIPAA as a health care provider. CCCR complies with and adheres to HIPAA standards.
